The Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and providing cost effective quality assistance for all individuals in the state of Louisiana who may be affected by gambling problems. The organization further promotes the development of educational programs and professional resources for problem gambling assistance.
We are gaming neutral and work in partnerships with other agencies throughout Louisiana that support services to help problem gamblers and their families.
Primary funding is provided by contracts with the Office of Behavioral Health, State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospitals, and by grants from the Louisiana Casino Association, the Community Foundation of Northwest Louisiana, the United Way of Northwest Louisiana, and individual donors. Our programs are operated by Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling, which came into existence in 1996 and is the Louisiana affiliate for the National Council on Problem Gambling.
