Don Pledger, MS
Executive Director
Don recently joined the LACG team in 2023 and comes to the organization with over 30 years’ experience in healthcare systems – development, implementation and sustainability. He has his bachelors and master’s from LSU with a focus in administration and psychology. He is passionate about trauma and crisis recovery and supporting those most vulnerable to mental health challenges. Reflecting on his passion for serving others, “my career path was shaped two decades ago while supporting our Louisiana families post Hurricanes Katrina and Rita."

Gregory Below, BA
Director of Helpline Services
Gregory has been with LACG since September 2004. Gregory started with the organization as a Helpline Specialist and has been promoted through the years – Reports Coordinator, Helpline Program Coordinator and then Director of Helpline Services. He holds a bachelor’s from Northwestern State University and a Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. As a native of Natchitoches, LA he enjoys beautiful outdoor scenery, quiet time with meditation and cooking when he has the opportunity.

Heather Kleckinger, LPC
Director of 988 Lifeline
Heather has worked in mental health services for more than twenty years including counseling in addiction, geriatric psychiatry and as a clinical member of a mobile crisis team. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and has her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from LSU in Shreveport. Heather is the Director of the 988 Lifeline and had previously served in the role of clinical services director within the gambling treatment program at LACG. Heather has a natural ability to inspire those she leads towards personal and professional improvement.

Rayuna Smith, BBA
Director of Human Resources
Rayuna is a seasoned human resources professional who recently joined the LACG team and brings a multi-faceted skill set including operations and mental health advocacy. She has her bachelor’s in organizational management from Wiley College and is pursuing a master’s in public administration. With a keen understanding of the importance of mental health in the workplace, Rayuna is dedicated to fostering inclusive environments that prioritize employee well-being and resilience.
